My flabber was gasted. Bravo!

More like 2.5, as I wasn't really able to get into this one (or just mindlessly drift through this one) like I have with the others. (Actually, this one and The Concrete Blonde are probably around the same level, as I didn't really engage with either of them very well.)

Also, there's the start of the resolution(?) with the person Harry meets up with in Vegas in Trunk Music, and it's just stupid. It's not at all unrealistic, as I can attest from very recent experience, but it's just dumb. Harry, I feel ya, but that whole plot doesn't make a good plot (or a good life experience, either).

Anyway, I'll probably be reading the next one of these soon, because aside from that previous paragraph, and even when the stories don't grab me as much, I really like reading these. (Of course I realise that they are not high-quality literature, but sometimes you gotta just plow through the stuff that keeps your brain occupied enough, but doesn't make you think.)

Angels Flight

This is only my second book about Harry Bosch, the first one was The Concrete Blonde. And I have to admit that I liked this one even more than the previous one.

Bosch is given the case of the murder of two people on the historic tram line. It immediately turns out that one of the victims is the lawyer most hated by all policemen. The list of people who wanted his death is extended and there are some Harry's colleagues on it. The evidence disappears very quickly and false trails are created even for no reason. Meanwhile, it seems that Bosch's supervisors does not care too much to find a murderer but rather to stop any possible riots in the city.

I found this book very interesting and suspenseful. There are lots of twists and turns. It is also quite somber at some time (
two people commit suicide, the book also deals with child abuse
). Harry Bosch is a great hero, it’s nice to follow his investigation. I wish his personal life is less complicated.

This is definitely not my last book about Harry Bosch.

Another great entry in the Harry Bosch series. I love these books. My only fault with it is that the whole story around Harry's marriage troubles is glossed over.

The Harry Bosch Series is always a great read!

Didn't like

Good

It was a nice story that really had you guessing toward the end. Glad to see Harry Bosch finally get an IAD guy back

The internet talk side of things sounds very dated these days but still a very enjoyable read
