undeniably a very powerful and harrowing story. i enjoyed the weaving of biblical stories. i just think that the verse aspect was underused; it had no bearing on the text except for a few occasions where the author played with the shape (like to funnel the text down to a "vanishing point").

I really wasn’t sure about this book, like I just wasn’t connecting to it, but with the audiobook only 4 hours long, I decided to stick it out. I’m glad I did because this has such a strong storyline. I’ll definitely have to do some research behind the artist, but this will definitely stay with me.
