It’s been a while since I read this but I remember being really mad about the story. It was written in a poetry kind of way and just fucks the main character over without even being well written.

A heartbreaking, raw look into one woman in history’s struggle after living through sexual assault, and her fight to bring it to light.
I have loved and been fascinated by Artemisia and her works for years, a personal hero for someone who has a passion for art history, especially the art of female artists. This book gave life to the story of one of the Baroque’s, and history’s, greatest painters in a very real, powerful way, the style allowing readers to more fully immerse themselves in Artemisia’s thoughts and feelings. It was horrifying, and beautiful, and I loved it.
