Total bait and switch of a book!! Definitely needed some tissues handy towards the end which I wasn’t expecting. Was not the sweet island romance you think the book will be by the cover and description. But rather a story about sisterhood, grief and finding yourself. Really loved this book in the end.

I enjoyed this romantic tearjerker! The romance/relationship between Lucas and Marin was great and so realistic. But, the true love story in this book was between Marin and her sister, Sadie. I love that they each were working to find and provide the best things for each other. The premise of the story was sad, but the author was able to temper that with the relationship of these two women. I’ll read whatever she has next!

This was really not for me and I didn’t enjoy it. It took me about three weeks to get through which says a lot. I didn’t like any of the characters except Lucas, but his character really fell flat I didn’t feel as if I knew him. The chemistry between him and Marin was lacking. Marin herself was so boring and I just really didn’t connect with her, what she really needed more than anything was therapy. Having your sister be the complete centre of your world on that level isn’t normal. I completely hated what Sadie did, it was unfair to Marin and I just didn’t agree with it. I didn’t expect the story to go that way, I thought this was a romance book and it is not at all. I feel bad for what happened and the way the story went but I just didn’t care about the story I skimmed a lot of the second half. Teds character wasn’t necessary. This just wasn’t what I expected and it really fell flat.

i started reading this book while in a slump so it took me a long time to get into it. i had a day of traveling today and read the last 2/3 of it today after being in a slump for the last couple of weeks trying to get into it. i am so glad i took the time today to get through the book. it ended up being a beautiful story of love, loss, sister bonds, taking new risks, and following one’s heart. i loved sadie’s character and found her so inspiring. marin had great character development. overall i think this is a story that i really enjoyed and will stick with me. 4.5/5 stars

I didn't read synopsis, I pick it up because of cover it was giving me The Unhoneymooners vibes and this book is opposite of that completely. Meet Me in Paradise is sad book ( didn't really eared that) while romance ( totally bland) comes last.

Love love loved this book! Did not expect it to make me cry like a baby from the cover and blurb, but it was so worth the heartbreak. The characters were so full of spirit and grit, the adventures were tantalizing, and the romance swoony. Will def recommend this to my romance loving and serious literature loving friends both.

Marin is a cautious person. Sadie is the polar opposite. Marin gave up her dreams the day her mother died, and she took care of her little sister Sadie from then on. Marin, a ball of nerves, had never even flown, where as her sister traveled country to country taking pictures. Sadie somehow convinces Maren to take a trip to a beautiful island called Saba. Marin agrees, and at the last minute, Sadie stands Marin up.
At first, I found Marin to be obnoxious. I'm glad I kept reading because she really grew on me. This book made me laugh, cry and sometimes want to yell. I wish the ending had a little more detail, but overall I really enjoyed this book.

4.5! I don't remember the last time I had a book actually make me cry?? Like many other reviewers I expected this to be a fun lighthearted rom com. It was not that. But I really loved it and I zoomed through it to see what was going to happen next. It was so sweet and heartwarming and I would be surprised if no one ever turns this into a movie in the future. Love!
