This series has been a delight to read throughout COVID-19 UK lockdown (basically, this series has become my Lockdown Obsession). I do go more depth with my write-up in the next few days. However, I have written a small post about the series on my blog, The Pewter Wolf and will write a small review/write-up on here. Plus, with the author saying she will continue the series by writing about Miller, West and new characters, I am very excited and am itching to continue with this series.

I discovered this series by sheer fluke just before UK National Lockdown at the end of March 2020. I adored the first in series, [b:Caulky|50715079|Caulky (Four Bears Construction, #1)|K.M. Neuhold|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1580320353l/50715079._SY75_.jpg|75745499], and, as the series went on, I preordered and devoured them, loving each of the Four Bears in turn. And, with each story, I hoped that one fo the four, Ollie, will get overly sweet Happily Ever After ending.

And Screwed follows that. A few days before his brother's wedding, Ollie and Daniel wake up one more in Vegas with one massive hangover, the pair discover that they are married and, when Ollie's brother and best friend tease Ollie about another failed marriage (this will be his fourth - what can I say, he loves love), Daniel won’t stand for it and say they’ve been dating for months in secret and bet the guys that this marriage is going to last eight months. As the pair fake their relationship, feelings begin to come to the surface. But can a man who loves being in love and a man who’s cynical about love be made for each other?

I am going to admit this, this series has sex in it. A lot. And it's not "Fade to Black" sex. We see it.

I love this series (though the guy on the cover isn't how I imagined Ollie.), and I am excited to read future instalments and, maybe, reread Caulky...

Near the end of the last book, Hardwood, something very curious happened, involving Ollie very much avoiding Daniel at all costs. We were introduced to Daniel in Caulky, as Ren's best friend. I didn't anticipate we'd get his side of the story, but I'm definitely glad we did.

Ollie and Daniel are very much a mismatched pair. They could not be more opposite. Where Ollie longs for the stability and romance of a committed life partner, Daniel couldn't imagine anything worse.

And then they end up getting drunk and married in Las Vegas.

Ollie has been the butt end of a lot of jokes over the course of three books. But Daniel has had enough. He stood up for Ollie in a real big way - by pretending the marriage is authentic, and betting Cole, Ollie's brother, that the marriage will last. I've definitely heard of going to bat hard for your friends, but this is on a very, very big level.

And while Ollie was skeptical, he went along with it - there's big money on the line, after all.

The more time they spent together - partially for the bet, and partially because they do actually get along rather well - the more they were clearly drawn to each other. They fell together in a rather unconventional way, and built a solid foundation of friendship before opening themselves up to what they were feeling for each other.

In the end, I can understand why Daniel was so guarded. But watching him slowly, and surely, fall in love with Ollie, and vice versa, was a really wonderful journey.

Obviously I loved Ollie.
Ollie loves love, he wants to find his other half, someone to share his life with, someone to fall asleep with and wake up to. Unfortunately, he’s so desperate for love that he has a string of bad relationships, trying to make it work with men who honestly aren’t worth his time.

All the stars for this book, seriously this broke my stars rating system.

I have been waiting for this book since we met Ollie in Caulky, it was probably my most anticipated release of the entire year. I was so happy when I received an ARC of this book.

I don’t know how to describe it except that it was perfect. This was all I wanted for Ollie and way more. Ollie has such a big heart and he deserved his happy ever after all the shit he’s been through, no one is more deserving of a nice man than he is and Daniel was exactly that. He’s the perfect man for Ollie, together they balance each other out. These two were so good together, they are made for each other. I couldn’t have thought of anyone better for them.

I pretty much swooned through this entire book. It was so damn romantic. It was the perfect movie romance Ollie has always wanted but could never find before. I’m so happy for him.

Also I loved how it took place over months, they had all the time in the world to develop a real connection and to fall in love with each other. There is nothing forced here. Everything develops itself on the perfect timeline and it’s so romantic.

I loved how there was no unnessecary angst or anything like that, it was just a lovely story of the two of them falling in love.

Also, this book introduces a new bear to the company and I am so excited for his story and to see the stories of the other characters who haven’t gotten a book year, this series is so good and I need more of it, so much more!

I'm in love with love

This books has me feeling all type of ways. Scratch that: this whole SERIES has me feeling hopeful that love is truly out there, making the cynic in me dare to dream. Love this series, can't wait to read the next book and start the Bull Mechanic series!

Great Ending!

This was my favorite of all four books. I’m glad Daniel stood up for Ollie, especially against Cole’s teasing. Ollie getting his happy ending was the best.
