I wanted to give this series a second chance and I was also looking forward to the single dad trope but once again I was let down.

Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining and I did enjoy reading about Tag, his niece and Chloe. Their dynamic was absolutely adorable and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them. The one real qualm I have about this book is the fact that we don't go into depth about Tag and what's going to happen with his niece. Sure, he got temporary custody of her and CPS got involved. but the only thing we see happen is Tag having an interview with the lawyer and that's it. We hear nothing else happen with that and it just bothered me.

We don't know if he adopts her or what else happens with his guardianship over her. I know if she would have gone into more depth it probably would've been a longer book but I wanted to see him at least go through some of the processes I'm sure people go through when something like this happens.

It could just be a me thing and it really only bothered me, but other than that it was a good book and I was entertained.

Tag Harris is the epitome of an eternal bachelor - he hasn’t had a girlfriend since high school, and he’s never once thought about settling down. All that changes when his niece, Chloe, is dropped off at his door, and he unexpectedly becomes a single dad. With his grueling hockey schedule, Tag is definitely going to need someone to help him out with his ten year old niece. Enter Elle Hurst. Elle is beautiful, brilliant, and sassy, and surprisingly enough, she offers to help out with Chloe. Only problem? Tag can’t seem to stay away from her. And Elle’s presence in his and Chloe’s lives will only last til the New Year… so can this Devil convince her to stay?

Slow. Clap. Melissa Ivers completely delivered in this second book in her Nashville Devils hockey romance series! I absolutely adore Tag and want to marry him. His life was completely disrupted when Chloe was dropped off at his place, but he shaped up and became an amazing single dad. And the way he treats Elle! Major swoon. As for Elle, I just loved her. She’s so incredibly snarky, which I always love in a female main character. But she was also incredibly kind, and had the biggest heart. Her compassion knows no bounds. Together, Tag and Elle set the room on fire with their absolutely off the charts chemistry. This book is perfection. 5 steamy stars!

It started really cool. I thought Elle was a badass and Tag fun. And when Chloe showed up it just got boosted even more. However, as the story went on, I kinda got bored with it. Elle wasn't as cool as I thought, Tag wasn't really a playboy, although Chloe did stay amazing. I am excited though to see the dynamic between Tag and Rhett in the next book since they'll be dating sisters.

The premise of the book was good, but the main characters were very unlovable. Terrible miscommunication and just general lack of communication the whole book and of course it ended in a marriage and happily ever after. Elle is a grown woman and letting her dad dictate her life and then when questioned about it, she defends him, even though her inner monologue is saying how miserable she is?? And Tag is saying how he doesn’t deserve anything good in his life, so he can’t tell her he loves her because she’s going to leave just like everybody else. Boohoo. Also major ick: if you call your father daddy, you legally cannot call your sexual partner daddy. Like no. Nope. Absolutely not.

Tag Harris is a one-night-only kind of guy and, as a member of the Nashville Devils hockey team, he's always had his fair share of Puck bunnies to choose from. He's never wanted to settle down with anyone. But all that changes when he meets Elle Hurst. And it's not just due to the undeniable chemistry between them but also because his circumstances do a complete 180. Because Tag finds himself a single Dad after his sister runs off with a man and leaves his young neice in his care. Elle volunteers to watch Chloe for Tag while she's in town and he can't help getting closer and falling for her more. But what happens when it's time for Elle to return to her life in Savannah?

Well hello, Tag!! How you doin'? Let me tell y'all one thing real quick - Tag knows how to bring the steam! From chapter one this sports romance is all about showcasing the unbelievable chemistry between Tag and Elle whilst following a forced proximity relationship with the single dad trope too. It delivers in the spice and gets straight in there. We see Tag grow as he settles in to his new role and Elle's journey helps her understand true happiness. Tag's neice Chloe is a wee dote! And I have to shout out to Leo, her cuddly snake teddy, that Uncle Tag just loves to hate. Untamed Devil is book 2 in the Nashville Devils and it picks up exactly where book 1 ended. But don't worry, you can read this as a standalone too and still understand what's happening as each book focuses on different couples. I was very lucky to have received an ARC for this book and I can't recommend it enough for lovers of hot, hunky hockey players.
