This book had some interesting content, but it lacked structure and the author felt unreliable and frankly pretty unlikeable (he dates himself pretty strongly by being sexist and racist) - he scoffed at many others in his field, then basically gave no reason to believe he was any better than them, so while it was fun to learn some of the legends and happenings in the area he was looking at, the book overall fell flat.
