This was my least favorite of this author’s books so far. I was actually extremely disappointed with it and shocked that this was written by the same person who has written “She’s Up To No Good” and “Don’t Forget To Write”. It was so different and not in a good way. I felt like both the plot and writing were inferior. I had to panic and look up when this book was written in comparison to the others- luckily this was her first. Now I can continue to be a fan and hope that none of her future writing reverts back to this level.

With that said, it wasn’t terrible. It was okay. I enjoyed it enough to keep reading. But I did not call in love and I wouldn’t recommend it. I think part of the problem is that I have a major issue with characters who swear they are broke but don’t live life like they are broke/trying to save money/budget. Real broke people don’t go to Starbucks, buy lunch out regularly, or get $28 dollar takeout salads just because. I don’t know why this is such a deal breaker for me. Probably because I cannot justify those expenses for myself. So to hear someone bitch about how broke they are while still spending unnecessary money really drives me insane.

My commentary from while reading is pretty limited but I will copy it below…

- 19% I’ve been slacking on the commentary front all around lately so I going to try to get back into with this book. Thoughts I’ve had so far…
- For someone as broke as she is, her actions are not reflective of her need to save money. If you are low on cash you don’t go to Starbucks. You don’t buy your lunches out. You don’t even go out to dinner. You sure as shit do not buy a $28 salad that you then forget to eat.
- The title of her blog is TERRIBLE
- 29% and this is exactly why I had my bridesmaids choose any dress they wanted within a certain color pallet
- 80% HOW COULD SHE DELETE THE BLOG OMG THE DAMAGE IS ALREADY DONE! MAKE THAT MONEY! You could apologize publicly on it, at the very least.
- 88% I’m starting to think that she really did sleep with Justin? This whole time I thought it was going to be revealed that she really slept with Alex.
- 89% and who says you can’t learn things from fiction! Semantic Satiation. I finally have a term for what it is called when you repeat a word so much that it starts to sound made up.

This was such a fun read. This is the first time I have read a book related to a bridesmaid who actually spoke the truth regarding Bridezilla's! Her blog made me laugh, it made me happy my friends are low-key, and happy that I have never been in 5 weddings all around the same time. I found myself cringing with Caroline and missing my close friends with Megan. I loved that Lily had that single friend as well, to kind of ground her and ensure that she wasn't alone in the world. Alex is a loveable, book boyfriend character too. This is an amazing, light and quick romance. Check it out!!
