I'm a fan of Tyrus, not through wrestling but through Gutfeld!
The audiobook was available on the Audible catalog so I listened this week.
I'll get the critiques out of the way: the director could have given Tyrus an ebook to read from because I could hear him turning the pages. Also, Tyrus is not used to reading out loud so sometimes it didn't flow smoothly, but he did put his own emotion into it.
Tyrus had a rough childhood, dealt with abuse, and had some false starts or bumpy roads in many of his careers but it was inspiring to see how he pulled through and didn't become a victim. He has a great work ethic, such as knowing his responsibilities when he was a body guard.
I learned new things about him that he had not detailed on Gutfeld!. I know he loves animals but didn't know he almost majored in zoology, and I can make sense of his tattoos now. Those are just two examples out of many.
I felt a range of emotions while listening - anger towards his family, gratitude towards his mentors, and humor at some of his stories (like when Snoop fired him and Ric Flair's signature catchphrase 'Woo')
Anyone who is a fan of Tyrus through wrestling or Gutfeld!would find this a good memoir to read/listen to.

I pre-ordered this book before it was published because I am a huge fan of Tyrus' common sense. I didn't learn out of it what I was looking for, where did he learn all of his common sense! What I did learn though probably gave me the same answers. I did not know much about his past other than he was in the WWE. I found the positive influences (he hadn't met all of them) in his life to be quite interesting. Wow, Tyrus' memoir goes to show that you never know when you will make a difference in someone's life. I am still a fan of his vast breadth of knowledge. I may not always agree with him, but that said, I agree with so very much of what he has to say.
It is the common man, and woman who deserve to be listened to, and they are our leaders of the future. A law degree is not required to be a leader!

Tyrus presents his life story in “keeping it real” storytelling. There is a good balance between deep emotional stories and lighthearted humor. Tyrus presents his own human experience, life lessons and opinions in a way that is very humanizing and allows for connection with the readers and room for self-reflection. Both reading the words on the page and listening the audiobook (narrated by Tyrus) are engaging and enjoyable reading/listening experiences. I’d highly recommend this book.
