This collection of 10 short stories is nothing short of brilliant. *Tenth of December* is so touching and thought-provoking. My favorites were “Puppy” and “The Semplica Girl Diaries,” both of which made me think about my own family and parenting journey in powerful ways. Every story left me with something to think about. Will definitely be reading again and again!

from the very first story I was hooked and shocked at the compassion with which George Saunders wrote from the perspective of a teenage girl. it is such a rare thing to find from a male author, and there were so many stories that I was floored by. I have no idea how it landed on my TBR but I'm so glad to have read this!

Love these stories!

Had a super busy month and I don’t get super attached to short stories for obvious reasons but still loved it despite taking forever to read it

Incredible, inventive, and moving.

Thought-provoking and darkly humorous. Vonnegut-esque.

I loved it, I loved it so much.
