sad i didn't enjoy this one :( but the MC changes personality drastically right in the first part, the characters are not fully fleshed out, the insta love was terribly questionable too, and i don't know why you'd immediately define them as neurodivergent to then not properly (imo) or consistently represent any of that? yeah... I liked one moment from this whole book, when they're about to be intimate for the first time, and a bit of that scene, too, because it was when they were the most believable, and somewhat relatable and funny. also, i didn't know before reading it that there would be the miscommunication trope, but from the get go i was annoyed at some of the author's choices, way before the miscommunication popped up in full force, so i can't say that's what ruined this for me. the humor was so dated too 😫ðŸ«
basically, i think this book suffered from labeling its characters and holding them in boxes they didn't even fit to begin with, and there was no need to get specific with those labels (or all those references). the world building could've benefited from being more of its own thing, and the book would've thrived. there was a lot of potential for it to be a cozy little portal to this flower farm/small town, and i felt that what i got was a tiktok storytime video with telenovela twists and reactions. absolutely nothing surprised me or made me care about these characters.
p.s.: someone mentioned in a review that they didn't get the dual pov, and tbh, yeah! it was the final piece to click what was bothering me. don't get me wrong, i don't mind shifting povs that much, but it felt poorly used on this.

The cover - absolutely stunning.
Opal embodies chaos in the best way possible, while Pepper tends to abide by the rules.
It's a charming, low-stakes sapphic romance, perfect for cozying up with on a rainy day. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a comforting read!

Solid sapphic rom com, I just don’t think I love the miscommunication trope. The floral setting and descriptions were v fun though!
