I had a really good time reading this! Thistle and Bloom sounds like a beautiful place I'd absolutely love to visit. The girls are both intriguing in their own ways and I really liked the dual POVs more than I thought I would!

I really loved the dynamic between Opal and Pepper. They were really cute to root for throughout the book. I felt so bad for both Opal and Pepper for what life dealt them. I hate Opal's "friends" shame on those a-holes. I wasn't expecting the ending or results of the competition to be what they were but I was pleasantly surprised. This was a breath of fresh air to listen to after reading an high fantasy novel! Absolutely adored this one!

fun, funny, hot, silly, goofy, enjoyable read all around. I would have rated it higher for the warm fuzzies but there was something about the passage of time in the novel that didn't fully gel for me, I feel like we missed out on some key relationship development moments because of that.

I liked the idea of the book and some parts were really good.
But I didn't like how some parts felt forced and too fast, while still feeling a bit boring to me. It just wasn't really a book for me.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book, but the plot fell flat for me a little bit. Love a small town romance, love a low-stakes plot, but it didn't suck me in the way I wanted it to.
