Oh my heart. I have so much love for this book. From the beautifully written storyline to the incredible characters, I ADORED everything about Late Bloomer. It has definitely entered into my top romance list.
I rarely see myself in characters, but I saw myself so deeply in not one but both of these characters! If you combined Opal and Pepper into a singular person, it would literally be me. I could feel every one of their emotions as if they were my own.
Mazy Eddings wrote something so special with this one. I went from laughing one minute to feeling all of the emotions the next.

I wanted something silly and easy and this definitely fulfilled that desire, so points for that. Unfortunately another such situation where the characters were just… kind of annoying to me. In describing their emotions, the language was either melodramatic and cliche or flowery and overblown. Maybe I just hate misunderstanding as a trope, but the characters’ relentless head-butting and inability to communicate made it hard for me to buy them as a functional couple. I actually thought the sex scenes were some of the strongest writing in this book.
