Reading this after Of Wolf and Wynd is a little bit disappointing because I didn't like the setting and the characters as much in this one. Aubrey was great but Kinsey was a bit wishy washy for my taste.
Because of the slave/royal match, most of the book is tense, the sex scenes take too much space in such a short book for my taste and the sweet (kinda) moments were reserved at the very end of the book. I think the book would benefit from more pages to get the whole story out.
Even though, I did not enjoy it as much as the next book in the series, I like Lexa Luthors writing so I'll pick up her other series to see what I think of it.
