This was enjoyable for what it was. This is based off a lifetime movie(that I recorded to watch) and it felt like a cute Christmas movie. All of it was obviously not shocking. The one thing I didn’t like that is in all lifetime movies is that she’s literally moving for like no reason. I just really want to live in a small town essential during Christmas time.
The small town vibes of this book are on point. Evergreen is the cutest Christmas town from Santa on the welcome sign to the Kris Kringle Kitchen which offers holiday named meals year round. Although this book could get a little hallmark cheesy it is to be expected since this is based off a Hallmark film. I really enjoyed all the characters and the overall happy and positive vibes they gave off as they are enjoying all the holiday fun while stuck in Evergreen. Ali was supposed to be heading to Boston to spend Christmas with her boyfriend and Ryan was trying to take his daughter to a sunny Florida Christmas after her mom and his wife passed around Christmas the previous year. The weather and possibly the town's infamous wishing snowglobe had other plans. It was cute and fun for the holidays.
This book just oozed charm from start to finish. The story, the characters, and the town of Evergreen were all so delightful, I didn't want the story to end. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet Christmas story.
The perfect Christmas story: it's heartwarming, makes you feel good and makes you feel the Christmas spirit.

4 stars. This was pure unadulterated fluff but it was good fluff. It's well written with very likable characters and a sweet squeaky clean romance. It's also a Hallmark movie so that explains everything. I haven't seen the film yet but I definitely plan on watching it seeing as how I'm already absolute garbage for Hallmark Christmas movies. This was a cute holiday romance that left me with a smile on my face.
