This was most definitely a 3.5 stars.
Positives
-Robbie and Reel are both really fun characters to read
- I love books that have lots of chapters, but they are really short. It makes it really easy to read a quick 3-5 chapters when you don’t have much time.
- besides one or two slow spots, the pacing was really good in this book.

Negatives
- plot was ok. Good not great. It was like an average mystery. Great action though.
- WAY too much of the book was heavy action and light on character, and I greatly prefer the characters to drive the book.

Overall not the best Will Robie book, but also not the worst.

A fitting end to a series

This last (say it ain't so!) installment of of the Will Robie series. It was very action packed with an interesting plot. The only negative I can say about it is a couple of my favorite characters were missing, but other than that it was really good. I selfishly hope we'll get to check on Robie & Reel again, it's never a full moment with those two.

Well, this was a fun series to read. Not perfect but I enjoyed it. This book didn't have the fun sound effects that the other ones did. The End of the World compound they toured was pretty coolo.

Liquid armor sounds all neat. I don't know how they knew that Blue Man had disappeared, he'd have come on his own.

I hate how annoying Jessica is. But I also hated that Robie didn't do anything when Jessica said she loved him. So retarded.

It was retarded that Real didn't kill Dolf. The bad guy felt forced and wasn't fully developed.

Not a lot to say about this one. Better than the last installment. Pretty crazy story. The Blue Man insight was different. Good to remember that it’s meant to be a relatively mindless, entertaining diversion from reality.

**** Spoilers ****

Another enjoyable fast read by David Baldacci, but I could not rate it over four stars due to a number of ludicrous items in the book that can only be construed as plot devices since they make no sense in the context of the book. Will Robie and Jessica Reel are touted as super experienced operatives who are extremely vigilant and ready for action, yet they make an amateur mistake which allows two characters to be unnecessarily killed! I figured out the outcome pages before it happened - not good! Then at the end of the book they again make a rookie mistake to get caught, but then are able to escape through a series of unbelievably far-fetched events!

I realize this is action thriller fiction, but I can't help but feel that Mr. Baldacci is starting to run out of ideas with this series. Hopefully I am wrong, since he is one of my favorite authors, and I always look forward to his next book (hopefully in the John Puller series).
