I really enjoyed this book through the early to middle chapters, but felt the ending fizzled out a bit.

Very suspenseful and thought provoking, however the ending fell a little flat to me. Definitely worth the read though!

There are so many great reviews on this book so I was excited to dive into it.
Sadly, i am in the minority I’m sure, but it didn’t do it for me. I found the first 1/3 of the book confusing. Took a while for all the characters to develop for me and understand the connection between them all.
The futuristic writing was good. Imaginative and made you think hmmm yep, that could happen.
But the storyline itself....

Ugh literally find me a book where I don’t cry like a baby at the end. Idk why it took me so long to get through this book because it’s now my favorite to 2020. Maybe because it hit a little close to home and maybe I just needed a good cry because I’m on my period but ugh I have no many thoughts I need to talk to someone about this. And I’m still crying.

Story about 2 women who are followed on live stream and social media 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year after year and their "celebrity status". This is set in a future society but has eerie flashback scenes to today's times when reality tv and live cams and vlogs were the 'start" of what became the new normal.

It wasn't bad by a long shot, it just wasn't great. A good solid storyline, defined characters and kept my interest.

It’s a slow start but I really enjoyed this book. A crazy story about where social media and our current political climate could take us.

I feel like the summaries and blurbs do not really give a good sense of this book. What I think you should know is that this is a speculative novel about data privacy, influencer culture, a SOCIAL MEDIA ARMAGEDDON, and women's friendships. This hits that sweet spot of handling substantive material seriously and being legitimately fun.

Enjoyable.

My book club chose this one and I’m pleased that we did. It’s a different kind of near future dystopian story. It feels so possible, so feasible. It’s scary. It’s definitely thought provoking.
