It was so slow and even the tense parts weren’t tense. I looked up best James Patterson book to read and this was the recommendation. Unfortunately for James that might be a one and done. I guess I won’t be buying the massive amount of his books I see at estate sales..

This book was an interesting first look at the Alex Cross character bearing in mind I had only actually seen the movie adaptation of this book and hadn't read any of the others in the series. The story was so-so, and I think that it might have actually been a little bit confused with itself in parts, especially with the whole Soneji/Murphy character development. Will I read the second one? Maybe. Will I read the whole 19 in the series? Highly highly doubtful.
