This Book Owns Me, Hands Down It’s My Favorite This Year

Quote:📖
I am prepared to do anything to live, to thrive. I survived.

Thoughts: 💡
I’m still struggling to contextualize just how deeply and profoundly this book has rocked me. This is hands down my favorite book of the year. The emotional depth of these characters is astounding, the first book was beautifully written with some emotionally gripping sections, but this one was so much better. Jasper’s inner monologue on the symphony of sound, Beau’s doctor games, Dom’s rules, Licky’s Pranks, Jayk’s slowly thawing heart, Eden’s fury and character development, Beau with the cheese, and chapter’s 44-48 🔥. To be perfectly honest I had over 200 highlights in the text and even more bookmarks in the audiobook. And yes, you do need both of those experiences.

Writing Mechanics: ✍️
I will never be able to hype this book or audio enough. It’s brilliantly written and well crafted, and the narration is on point. One of the notes I made for myself while reading was that Ensnared was built around Eden’s quiet strength, while Entangled is about her quiet fury.
There are a multitude of moving parts to the plot and so many deeply developed and diverse characters. This book had me laughing, crying, and super 😉 on a repeating cycle.

Narration & Sound:🔊
The entire cast did themselves on this audio. I got chills more than once from listening to it. The story is incredible and the narrators portrayed accents and inflections perfectly.
It’s a full cast audio so while the chapter is voiced by the character who’s POV it is, the individual dialogue is portrayed by the voice actor representing that character. Then the sound engineer did an incredible job piecing the sound bites together because it all flows seamlessly and makes an incredibly immersive experience.

Important Note:✨
This is book 2, you need to read book one before this.
There isn’t a cliffhanger, but prepare yourself for the ending. This isn’t the end of the series, so the end of this book…. Well, you’ll see.

Wonderful continuation of the series. The new characters introduced are well rounded and interesting. The portrayal of the character's mental health is well done and relatable to those of us who suffer with the same or similar issues. Ends on another cliffhanger and I am eagerly awaiting the last book. Pay attention to the trigger warnings as there are some rather dark themes throughout that some readers will not enjoy. If you like dark romance, including RH I would 100% recommend this series.
