This was my first experience with any story including Miles Morales as Spider-Man. I had heard his name as a new Spider-Man, but I didn't know anything about him, so this graphic novel was fun to read both to learn about Miles and as a Spider-Man story.

I definitely want to read more stories with Miles as Super-Man, and I would love to read Miles' origin story as Spider-Man. Yes, he was bitten by - yet another; where are they all coming from? - a radioactive spider, but that was there wasn't much other info given in this graphic novel regarding his beginnings as Spider-Man (and yes, I know that's because that's not what this story was about, but I still want to know).

The artwork in this graphic novel was absolutely beautiful. It added to the story and made it truly compelling and fun to read.

So, long story short, if you like Spider-Man and you like comics/graphic novels. then you should read this graphic novel.

A super fun middle grade graphic novel featuring Miles Morales & friends. Pretty standard super hero plot line, but the dialogue was funny and I really enjoyed the art style.

Art style is really cute. Story is nice, if a bit abrupt at times.

I really enjoyed the middle grades version of Miles Morales. After reading the young adult novelization, also by Justin A. Reynolds, I loved getting back to Miles in the form of a graphic novel. Also, I really loved the integration of other characters in this world, especially the snippet from the end of the book (the start of a separate graphic novel, I believe.) Since over a week and a half has passed since I read the book, I do not remember much of the plot details, although I did really appreciate the centering of Puerto Rico and damage from earthquakes. I had fun reading this book and will definitely return to read others in this universe.
