Well this one is just as action packed as the first one! The trials that this poor boy goes through when all he wants is to find his parents is just ridiculous. But fun! Sometimes I will read a book, sigh and say that the plot is too far-fetched. Sometimes, I love a crazy plot line. This is one of those times. Nothing is believable and yet I soaked in every word!

Maybe I should have read this right after the first Lion Boy book, but it seems that the magic has slightly worn off. Nevertheless, The Chase is a fantastic romp of fun, filled with more talking cats and now a chameleon who can speak Cat as well. Definitely worth reading as a sequel, and I will need to track down the third one.

This book was a bit harder to get through than the first one, some stretches of the book were a bit long. The author seems to be creating quite an interesting world.

Really really good! This is the second of a trilogy and I'm now really looking forward to starting the next one!
It's sort of set in the future (a not altogether pleasant but still very realistic future) where we are definitely dealing with the affects of... Well all the issues we have today! Bad health and asthma and global climate change and environmental issues - all really well phrased from a kids perspective.

The story of Charlie (who can communicate with cats) trying to take a group of lions to freedom (from a circus of course) whilst his genius scientist parents have been kidnapped.

I really highly recommend!
