This a delightfully confusing narrative to lose oneself in. It plays on the ideas of reality, expectation, and actuality. It is a complex , and thus difficult to get through at times, and elegant. There is quite a lot of interplay from other books that give the reader lovely moments of nostalgia accompanied by moments of shock and awe. Chris Meekings does not disappoint and just when you think you have his narrative all figured out, he will throw a twist and turn that will have you second guessing yourself over and over again.

The writing in this book was trying way too hard; it came across as pretentious. The author was using big words just to show off vocabulary and it added nothing to the story; if anything it took away from the beautiful narrative. I thought this story sounded very interesting, but it was sleep inducing with the amount of excess vocabulary words.
