The book has a sequel "Look on the Bright Side" though it does not have to be read in order.
This book is monochrome, shades of red, white, and black. The sequel is full color.

This book is a cute friendship story with a lot of depth. It’s absolutely awesome that there is an approachable book for teens that talks about period injustice! I finished it in about an hour plus the illustrations are super fun! Inspiring to say the least.

Definitely wished I’d had this in middle/high school, but so glad it exists now! Also, can they please make a follow up?

(Received an ARC from Lily Williams herself at the NCSS Conference!) I loved this quick read about a group of girls who have different bodies, different personalities, different strengths and quirks. They felt real to me. Can't wait to pass this on to my students! Also, it made me realize that we don't have pads/tampons in our girls' bathrooms at all on my campus. We keep our own stash in the teacher bathroom, but if girls have an emergency, they have to go to the nurse or ask a friend/teacher.

had to read for my COLLEGE ENGLISH class which I thought was kind of peculiar but I liked it. very rudimentary idea of activism and lowkey white feminism vibes but it’s also a book for middle schoolers sooooo

Wished this book was around when I was growing up. This topic is important to many developing girls. Perhaps period discussion is not as stigmatic as it was. I do believe that this is a good reading material for tweens and teens.
