The title is a bit of a misnomer. This book primarily takes place in the Fall. (Also, the guy on the cover should be holding vanilla gelato…which I presume would be white haha)

I’ve read so many books in the past 6 months with non communication between the main characters, and I’ve discovered that it drives me nuts. This book, of course, had the non communication. However, I’ll forgive it in this instance. Many books use non communication as the main thing driving the plot forward. In this book, it isn’t. It’s actually threatening to hold the plot back. There are other things driving the plot forward. Also, the protagonist has a good reason for not communicating certain things. I’ll forgive her for it.

I ultimately loved this book. There were a couple unbelievable parts, but I didn’t mind. It’s fiction. I read this right after reading A Lesson in Chemistry, and I needed a lighthearted, fun, easy read. This was exactly that. I loved the characters. I loved the love story. This book just felt good. It was exactly what I needed.

Favorite Quotes:
“Part of painting my background set involves being assertive enough to do things alone, otherwise my background will always be someone else’s take on life, and this needs to be mine.”
“Everyone gets a handful of movie-worthy moments in their lives.”
“Hot” - because I read it in Paris Hilton’s voice
