I feel like I need to read more about the context of Rumi before I read anymore poems. These were more enjoyable than the Coleman Barks translations I read, but I still felt like I missed some cultural context.

I wasn't overly thrilled with this particular translation.

I think a lot of rumi's spectacular work got lost in the translation. At many points the pros didn't make any sense.

This book is collection of 153 poems by Rumi translated by Farrukh dhondy, poetry of god, sufism, country , mosque , love for god and religion The metaphor he used for god is extremely a cherish way to remember god and prayers are always ment with right choice of words, and the choice of diction is really good and reversal words are really nice and beautiful. Love and pure love, spiritual love, and use of nature in poetry and word that make the sense of belonging to word is such a beautiful piece one can read throughlly and still feel that heart is swelled with words and its like "Dil ka pett bhar gya." Heart is so full with love of poetry words
