Only slightly better than the first book (hated it) which featured Gussy's older sister, April "The Madcap Heiress", emphasis on "slightly".
The heroine didn't deserve the hero - she just came off as timid and cowed and really needed to grow a backbone. To allow her grandmother and great-grandfather to MAKE her choose her fiance "because it was time" was very backwards and I really had to make sure I wasn't reading a historical regency. Even the hero comments "Is this the nineteenth century or the 20th?" so I couldn't see what the hero saw in Gussy because she sure didn't exhibit any redeeming qualities to make him fall so hard so fast.
