Like power play, this was just ok. Cute and sweet but it didn’t really wow me. I love a good friends to lovers story and even better when it’s friends to enemies to lovers. But I think my biggest issue with this is how zoey reacted to andre’s confession. Like he went through something kinda traumatic and in the wake of that inadvertently used her. So yes she had a right to be upset about it but jeez, leaving him felt a little dramatic. He finds out he had a son and that said son has died all in one day. For how close of friends zoey and Andre were at the time, you’d have thought she would’ve been a little more understanding once she found out.

A frustrating book that makes this woman seem simple minded and dick-nitized for spice scenes that leave room for desire.

I just didn't like this. Zoe is funny, but I just don't like them as a couple. I mean they got caught having sex on video, and then he ghosts her after it ruins her life. Ew.

Then she somehow ends up in the same city he moved to, and what a coincidence... she gets a second chance at her career if she only works with Andre again... and doesn't have sex with him...

So of course what does this guy, who "can't get Zoe off his mind" disrespects her career, and proceeds to sleep with her again. Does Zoe have self-respect? There is not nearly enough groveling on his part.

He doesn't DoOoOo relationships. I just don't really like Andre. So just a bleh.
