Wow what a prologue. Is is a hot read that adds more to this story about the attorney of friends if the spot fire series. I can't to get more of this story. Zola is a old time charmer and will have you feeling the excitement and dreaming romance throughout this story.

The Scarlet Night is a prelude for this brand new series and a great sample for a newbie like me on the author's work. The chemistry of Matthew and Nina just downright sizzles the pages of this book *fans self* I'm excited to read more of this hot and forbidden romance!

Nicole French is forever giving me these incredible men to fall in love with, and then writing him a beautiful heroine who is NOT me! It’s incredibly rude honestly.
Matthew Zola is a classic man, living in a modern world, drawn to the women who belong to another. This is most definitely a problem, because how do you find your forever if they’ve promised theirs to another?
And then he meets Nina. We all know what kind of story Nina has just from her cameo in the Quicksilver series, but does that excuse or change her actions?
I have a feeling that before long, French will have me forgiving any wrong doing by this couple.
All I know, is that this was the perfect prequel for these two, and I can’t wait to dive into their story!

Oh. My. Goodness.
This prequel to the Rose Gold series has seriously left me drooling for more. I love that all of Nicole's characters tie together and have their own story. I love that we can meet them in another's story and then get to know them in their own.
Secrets are had by both Nina and Matthew. I cannot wait to see how Nicole plans on playing this out.

A very impactful prequel! If you're familiar with this author's work then you'll remember Zola and Nina from her last series, but its not required to read this book (don't be surprised though if after you read this one you want to go out and download all her other works!). This book takes us to the very start of the romance between Matthew Zola and his 'doll'. As its only the prequel we don't get too many pages but the tapestry she weaves with her words is more than enough to have you ready to dive in to the next book ASAP and stalk her author page until she gives us the next fix!

The Scarlet Night is a prequel novella to an all new series. I didn’t want this story to end. I was captivated by these characters and their story.

Nina is hiding something, she is a mystery. Matthew is a hot shot district attorney. There was instant chemistry between the two of them and boy was it explosive.

The Scarlet Night is their first meeting. The one night together they allowed themselves to have. However, is one night going to be enough?

I am DYING to know where their story goes, what happens next and just for more of Nina and Matthew in general. I can’t wait for this series to be released.
