Kids, the dark, and the south are scary… and this book solidifies that! I was so wrapped up in this story I couldn’t put it down. Left me uncomfortable, sad, angry and a little confused, which is exactly what I was looking for in a book like this!

I love a short read especially when it’s creepy right from the start. That ending was jaw dropping. And the dad’s past was something i was not expecting. I liked the way jacks past is said through the book as we go through the present time and unravel all the secrets

kids are so creepy. typical possession story and the end is predictable but i still enjoyed it. predictably doesn’t equal bad in my eyes.
