This book should have a trigger warning list.
I was waiting for Holden to hit her the entire book, and waiting for “Sky” to realize that she wasn’t experiencing lust for the first time but fight or flight.
I then got to page 149 where something sinister comes to light and couldn’t read this book word for word anymore. I don’t know if it says something about the predictability but I was able to skip absolute chapters without missing a single important thing.
Trauma as a plot device seems sloppy but I’m not an author.

...no. Kostra příběhu byla dobrá. Fakt. Sympatická lovestory s párem, co nejsou typičtí YA hrdinové. Ale pak přišel ten zbytek. Některé scény se mi zdály až příliš uspěchané a jiné zbytečně protáhlé, Holder je kluk sakra k neuvěření a Sky bych občas nejradši něčím praštila. Navíc ta fakta u konce mi do příběhu vůbec neseděla. Ale celkově jsem s tím docela spokojená.

This book and its series are going to stick with me for a long time. Colleen Hoover captures what it’s like to be a human holding contradictory thoughts and feelings in all of their nuance. One of her best reads, I think.

Okay. I did not care for this.
This story was so…weird? Far fetched? Cringey? There are a lot of moments that are supposed to be sexy and / or romantic but I was 100% not feeling it and I’m not convinced the main character would have either.

Trigger warnings suicide sexual assault between adult and child.
I did not expect the twist with this one. I did expect that sky was sexually abused by someone not her father. I also didn't think that her adoptive mother Karen was her biological aunt kidnapped her to save her from her dad. I also thought that it was a good story point that holder knew her when she was hope.
