This was such a great read. I was drawn in from page 1. The main character Wren is so sweet and lovable. Her story is a bit sad but her men make it better. The world is built so beautifully and the characters are well thought out. I fell in love with each of her love interests. I do favor 2 in particular but they are all perfect for her. The spice level is just right and the story line is amazing. The ending left me wanting more, way more. I can't wait until Term 2 is released.

I really enjoyed the magic world building and the hierarchy of the supernatural beings is a really interesting addition to the usual fantasy, RH, academy books. There’s a fair amount of spice, but the plot doesn’t suffer as a result. With 7 MMCs there’s always the potential that they start to feel too similar or there’s not enough character development, but I think all of the MMCs are unique. There has been substantial character/relationship development of some of the MMCs and not the others, but all are intriguing in their own ways! There are multiple potential villains that emerge in Term 1 and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together!!

This was a captivating opening to this series. As expected, our FMC is just getting to know her expected mates and there is a slight cliffhanger at the end. Thankfully, the next book is already published so I'll be hopping over to that right away. There is some lingering trauma from a rejected mate bond that our FMC has to struggle with and I thought that was handled well. I liked all of the potential mates and look forward to getting to see more of them in the next book, hopefully with more of their stories.

I’ve been wanting a why-choose shifter book and have been disappointed for a while but this one finally has me excited for book 2

While reading I found early on that there were some issues with pacing and the world building but I set it aside (“brain off”) and enjoyed it for the characters. All the male leads are swoon worthy and the fmc is lovable.

This book set up the start of an interesting journey while leaving room for more.
