This book was great. I haven't read a dystopian novel in a long time, and this one hit all the marks. I really enjoyed the conversations about othering in here as well as seeing an unapologetic Muslim protagonist that didn't have to defend her faith or have it be the main plot point. This was a great book and helped respark a joy I have for dystopian novels that isn't centered on whiteness.
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Confinement, Death of parent, Genocide, Mental illness, and Panic attacks/disorders
