God, I love the messiness of Maddox and Devon's relationship. And without mentioning spoilers: the way I GASPED at a certain point, having to reread two more times to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding, then had to take a few minutes to process before continuing, lol.

That took a darker turn than I expected but it was still a good story. The middle had me tearing my hair out but the happy ending mostly made up for it. I kinda wish Jim (the evil dad) wasn't in this story so much but it was nice to see Seth turn over a new leaf, recover from his addiction and try to be there for his sons. He was a good foil for Jim.
Maddox and Devon have a relationship that irl would be toxic but in fiction it works perfectly for them. And it's fun to read about! I'm glad their wedding wasn't out of character - they did it in a way that was true to them. I appreciate their growth in this book too.
when his mom pulled out a gun and shot the dad i was shoook! Did not see that coming but good for her!! That dirtbag ruined her life and her sons' lives. I'm glad she got revenge and a safe place to be taken care of where her sons could visit her. Truly the best ending for her. No complaints here
