THIS BOOK IS SO JRNEENENDBXJQ the cast of characters, specifically the main trio, just makes you root for them in every way possible. you'll find yourself caring for Elliot even if he's an insufferable brat bc he's such a mean yet loving character. you grow with these characters as they learn about themselves, and their relationships with eachother just transforming into something so magical it surpasses matriarchal elven society and murderous harpies. Elliot truly is the star of the show and I've gotten so attached to this witty yet broken boy who only wants love. gotta say tho, the romance, as in who Elliot ends up with in the end, felt unnatural and definitely needed another hundred page or so of development
