It was intriguing enough to finish it out, but nothing crazy where I was invested. I did enjoy the change in genre, different than what I usually read. Not predictable but also not surprised

i was skeptical at the start but once i got into it, this was delightfully creepy and suspenseful and the story came together hauntingly. A quick read but I really enjoyed the time I spent reading it!!!

Pretty good! I finished it in one day if that tells you anything about how good it may be. This novella is a retelling of the Fall of the House of Usher in a ‘The Last of Us’ lens. Pretty well written and keeps you turning the pages, but nothing truly spectacular.

This is gothic, lighthearted, horror which I didn't realize was a genre but apparently I'm a huge fan. The backdrop of the manor and the unique characters in this story pulled me in from the first page. T. Kingfisher never misses!
