I'll admit, when I first heard about this series in the beginning of the year, I was a bit hesitant. I wasn't sure how I'd like reading a romance between three people, because I'm pretty set in my monogamous ways. But because I do try to have an open mind and see it from different sides, I was willing to give it a go. But I felt like I should read Ella Frank's other books before I did, and I'm glad I made that decision. Not necessarily because it was crucial to follow the plot of Confessions, but because it allowed time for all four books to come out. I'd mentioned binging the series in my review of the last book in the Temptations series, but I was not anticipating just how quickly I flew through these books. Or just how much I loved them. While I don't think it's super necessary to read Temptations before this series, I do think it does enrich the series because Logan and Tate do make an appearance more often than not, and the last three books specifically help set up the oncoming relationship. Now, since that's out of the way, let's get into my complete thoughts and feelings of this series.
Before, Sunset Cove had been my favorite duology from Frank; but the Confession series absolutely sucker-punched that duology out of the number one spot. I. Loved. This. I can't remember the last time a book let alone a series reminded me just how much fun reading is. I swear 95% of the time I was smiling like an idiot, flailing around making weird overwhelmed noises, or just a weird combination of the two. Did it feel a bit insta-lovey at times? Unfortunately. Did it lean a little too heavily in the smut factor to the point of making me roll my eyes? Mmmm, sometimes. But did it make up for it with the fact that the relationships between the three of them were slowly, fully developed and grown throughout the series? Absolutely. It's one of the few times I didn't mind the insta-love factor as much, because it felt like the following relationships were further developed in a way they should have been. This is a romance between three men, and you'd think it would have always been messy and complicated and too much going on, but no, not really. I mean, these people talked. Talked. Whenever there was an issue that one of them had, they weren't just like noooo I don't want to listen to you I hate you because you hate me and cue several chapters of trying to convince the person to sit down and listen. No. One of them would stop to take time to figure out how they were feeling about a situation but were aware that they shouldn't be stupid, and then they came back and talked it out. Which is so rare (even in my own writing, I'll admit) that I found it so refreshing. I loved these men together. From the beginning, you could tell that Julien and Priest loved each other; Robbie never once made them question their feelings for each other, he only enhanced them. All three of them were all-in, and they were so damn sweet that sometimes I just couldn't with these three. I'll admit, the second and third books were my favorite, especially Priest, because duh, obvious reasons. Priest still stands as my ultimate favorite character. From the moment we meet him in Temptations, I knew he was going to be that secret softy I love so much. And oh, was I right. He is the sweetest, purest cinnamon roll that was ever a cinnamon roll. And I was totally expecting Julien to be a total prick because of his nickname, but nope, he was the total charming Frenchman who just knew exactly what to say and how to soothe the tension. I just love his and Priest's relationship; learning their dynamic with one another was charming and I wanted so much more. Give me an entire book describing in detail their growing relationship and I will read it. Not that it's actually necessary after this series, but you know what I mean. I love them with my soul.
Was this series perfect? Nope. I kind of wanted a bit more pressure put on the relationship of these three men. I loved Julien and Priest because not only was the relationship developed more slowly in these books, but there was some pretty deep conflict taking place. And while the fourth book was a very sweet ending to the series as a whole
Spoilerthe epilogue killed me
, it felt a little jarring to have all that sugar following what happened in Priest. Necessary, probably, but I wanted just a teensy bit more conflict that wasn't quite so heavy as the conflict in the third book, but not as light and barely there as it was in this book. In some ways, Julien and Priest were a bit too perfect, and I just wanted to see a bit more tension in the plots of the books (specifically the first and last ones, the middle two had plenty).
All in all, I'm so glad I read this series (and now I'm on a polyamorous relastionship kick, oh no). It made me feel all warm and fuzzy and I really did love this series. It's one I could totally see myself rereading in the future, because I just love these men so freaking much. I'll admit, throughout the Temptation series I wasn't sure how big of an Ella Frank fan I was, but now I will totally read whatever new books she has coming out in the future. Especially if they involve secret softies. Or polyamorous relationships. Apparently I like them now.

My heart is Full

Ella Frank has given us three perfectly flawed men. We have watched them battle their demons and win them, now we get to see them get their well deserved happily ever after. I am happy with the way this ended and I'm sad because I'll miss them

This book had me in tears on several occasions! Such a perfect conclusion for these beautiful men!
In this book you get to see the softer, more relaxed side of Priest. It's like a weight has lifted from his shoulders and he feels light as air. The gentleness between Joel and Jules was breathtaking at times; you could really feel the love these two have for each other. Robbie is in his element here as well, being the center of attention and a perfect fit into this amazing triad. I didn't want it to end, but if it had to then I'm more than satisfied with their HEA. I hope we get to revisit these lovely men, as well as Logan and Tate, in any future books by Ms. Frank!!

**I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

It was honestly the best of the serie, I think. It’s their « Happy Ever After », and they deserve it !

I don’t think I’ll do a long review. Because, really, you should just read the book. It was great.

« I’m not sure why everyone dreads their thirties. As far as I’m concerned, it’s going the best decade ever. – Robbie »

For the birthday of Robbie, the three of them will go to the parents of the birthday boy. For the first time, Priest and Julien will met all the family of their Princess. And Robbie panicking. (But… Like… Really !) (Julien and Priest are not. Just a little bit nervous because they’re married and in relationship with the baby boy of the family. Normal.)

The Princess, the Prick & the Priest is book four in the Confession series and the final book in Robbie, Julien and Priest's story. A MMM menage romance.

This book is the perfect ending to their story. After the build up of their relationship and the character developments over the years it's definitely one of the fave books.

With everything these characters have been through they definitely deserve a happily ever after and I loved how they got there. We get cute, steam and just genuine happy moments. The offical meeting the parents is probably one of my fave parts.

There is also a few more breadcrumbs to the next duet for Henri and Bailey.

Huh!

I tried listening to the audiobook, but Robbie’s voice was just off, he sounded like a whiny little thing.

It’s me not the book! Or maybe It is not me!! Me thinks we will be blaming all of this on my recent reads.

I was looking forward to this one and it just fell flat. And I didn’t get my DP or maybe it was in the book and I was not paying attention.

Nothing was really happening in book. It was just all lovey dovey, too sugary and lusty for me. And our Princess this! our Princess that! He is so perfect, we love him, we belong together, we are lucky to have found him. It became repetitive and the theme for this book.

I felt that this was Robbie the Princess’s show, Priest was the Prince and Julien was just there throwing around French one-liners then disappearing. I didn’t feel his presence in this book. He was too much in the background.

I also didn’t feel the love between Robbie, Priest and Julien like I did in the previous books.

Anyhoo, don’t mind me. I still get a lady boner whenever Logan and Tate appear on page so there is that.

I liked Robbie’s supportive family.

I liked the epilogue too. It was all tied up neatly with a pink bow.

THE END.

I was completely satisfied with the way the trio of books for Robbie, Julien and Priest ended, so this new book is a wonderful addition to their story.

From the minute we first met Robbie way back in Try, he very quickly became one of my favourite characters ever. With Julien and Priest, their story is just parfait. It was wonderful to see them after they had gone through all their trials and tribulations, to see them living their HEA.

And then just when I thought this story couldn't get any better, Ms Frank proved me wrong.

I don't want to give anything away about what happens, but let's just say that the next day I am still smiling like a loon.

I am going to miss my guys, but I can't wait to see what Ms Frank brings us next.
