This series is confusing my emotions. I will have have moments where I can't put the book down and it's very exciting, but it will inevitably be followed by a long stretch of "rise, rise, rise......nothing..." The book keeps building my emotions up like a big balloon and I'm so prepared for that one moment that will pop it like a needle, but its like someone just slowly lets some of the air out. They are good books and they have alot of humor but they're just not very satisfying. But for some reason I will continue on in the series with the next book that comes out in October. I'm hoping to finally reach a good climax in the book, and maybe some real romance.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this - I love the friendships and how the gang work together. The narrator for the audiobook is fantastic :)

Steady 3. Audiobook read, newfound fan of narrator. Narrator: 4 out of 5 stars.
Not much on pros and cons. Just very neutral. Neutral characters and storyline. Will read last installment soon.
I am enjoying the series but in a non comparing way, not as much as I am in love with her other series, Charley Davidson.
If this series let you down, don't refuse to give her other series a shot.

The author put the current generation of Nephiliam across as stupid, volatile and crazy. Despite those portrayal they bested two of the strongest men on Earth (one of them is an archangel)! which proves that they are actually smart.
Again in the end Jared and Cameron though injured manage to easily save the day where Jared jumps off the cliff with Lor and the enemies blindly follow them to their death. Even a dumb person would not be so dumb enough to take the plunge.
The plot isn't well thought of.

**Mini Review**
I picked up this book immediately after finishing book 1 - and dove right into it. I might have missed some sleep. But you know what's funny? I can't tell you WHY EXACTLY. I mean it is a good book, with interesting people, but there wasn't anything SPECTACULAR. *shrugs*
Now that Lor has come to terms with what she is and what she can do, she now needs to come to terms with what she HAS to do. Which wasn't so bad when she had Jared to lean on, but he has been distant. And then he vanishes.
While the story kept my interest, and I wanted to know what happened, there didn't seem to be a whole lot of substance to the story. It was pretty predictable and standard. Which isn't always a bad thing, there just wasn't a "Oh my gosh did that just happen?!?!" moment.
Overall, this was a good not great story. Worth the time to read it, and entertaining, but not a life changer.

Loved reading this book again! They learn more about this world, and learn more about her prophet abilities, and yeah, a new bad guy shows up and causes that evil ending! Must reread more!

Loved this book so much, so funny, but it was a harder book for Lorelei, what with the visions and all being darker, and more frequent, and the whole, she has to save the whole world from a war before it starts, and the stress with that! But it's OK, because she does it!
