Gorgeous writing. It's simplicity is what stunned me. The characters were real and un-incredible, but that's why I liked it.
The back and forth timeline was interesting and I was grateful she always brought the reader back to the present.
Honestly, the unsatisfactory ending was also just right for this book.

i really do love marianne and connell especially how complex their relationship is. this entire book is about having someone understand you the most especially when youre feeling lost or unlovable.
