For a large part of the book, this was going to be a five star read given all the detail and complexities of the backstories of the characters. However, Aefe got a little frustrating when she kept reverting back to her old way of thinking until her last couple of chapters.

I loved the ending for all of them. I think it’s always hard to show how would a nation thrive after the government it has had forever is toppled. But since becoming the leaders isn’t the focus of the series then you known it won’t be the main characters given that they haven’t shown any WANT to lead their nations.

At some point I thought “can these characters just stop suffering?😭”

Part Two moved a slower (sorta) than part one.

Tisaanah and Max will stay with me forever though. I loved them very much especially Max.

What an ending to an amazing series. I don't even care that I guessed some of the twists so early on. This book was so well written, so beautiful in the end, I have to give 5 stars. I loved everything about it and will remember these characters and their story for a long time. It truly has earned a place in my top series I've ever read, and it is well deserved.

Hi, me again, hates every ending 👋🏻 I find it hard to narrate my feelings about this book. It took me over a month to finish it, mostly because I felt like the story kept going on and on. But I liked it? It was epic? I loved Afa’s story hands down and Cadwyn is my type of man. I would recommend this series to others though for me personally is doesn’t hold a candle to ACOTAR or FW. It’s got all the ingredients but missing a certain addictive ingredient I can’t put my hands on. Hopefully Circle back and edit this once I’ve better solidified my thoughts.
