You know a series is great when book 2 is better than book one and this series is so freaking awesome . We go back to more of the seven robots being destroyed.  We also get to see a little bit of the character Astro boy (he’s actually called Atom,  which is explained in the back).  You could pick this up without having read book number one but number one makes it quite a bit better and gosh dang that I can’t wait for book 3 and four time to go put them on hold

Oh…my…gosh…guys! This manga is just supercalifragilisticexpiali-scrumptious!😩🤌🏻

Let me explain.

Actually no, let me not. I went into this manga seriously knowing NOTHING, my sister bought it and I was like ‘hey, imma read you’ and I think that’s how everyone should go into it! But if you want a small summary I’ll say this: cyberpunk. Murder mystery. Robots. That’s it.

The manga has such an addicting story that I literally couldn’t stop reading. It’s mysterious, dark, and pretty sad at times, which is presented with amazing art (which I have photos of in my post)  And then we haven’t even talked about characters.

The way, that that author can literally make me care about a robot wife in 3 panels is astonishing. You really get to feel for these characters and really care about them and their mission.

The manga series is also short, coming in at only 8 volumes, so it’s perfect for those that don’t want or have the cash for a 44 volume series.

I highly…HIGHLY recommend that you check it out! Even if you think you won’t like manga/graphic novels, this is a great one to try it out!

Madre mía. MADRE MÍA. QUE DOLOR. Además, que guiños. Astroboy es un amor, y prácticamente todos los robots lo son. No es justo lo que les pasa, y lo que hay detrás de sus muertes me inquieta y mucho.

The second volume of the collection moves a bit slower than the first. It's still pretty good, but I feel like the story could be moved along.

I am loving this series so much! It's an emotionally-charged, thought-provoking story with interesting characters and a huge mystery to uncover. I'm actually going to stop reading PLUTO now because I realize I need to go back and read Astro Boy in order to better appreciate this. I'll check back in on this review after I've read the source material and am re-reading this series.
