Hunter Thompson does modern take on Hell.  The wolf was seen in Inferno Cant I.  Translation from https://digitaldante.columbia.edu/dante/divine-comedy/inferno/inferno-1/: “Maladetta sie tu, antica lupa, / che più che tutte l’altre bestie hai preda / per la tua fame sanza fine cupa!” (Cursed be you, ancient wolf, who more than all the other beasts have prey, because of your deep hunger without end! [Purg. 20.10-12])

An amazing book. I love the way it’s written and it’s so funny. There’s very few scenes where I don’t die laughing. It’s everything I want in a book. It is a book where nothing and everything happens. It’s hard to describe. Is it a little problematic? Yes it is but it’s written by a white man so what did you expect?
My favorite scene come when they go to the cop convention and tell one of the cops that they are starting to cut the heads off of drug users
