What an amazing woman!
I didn’t know much about Turia’s story before I started reading this. I knew that she had been badly burned in a fire but I didn’t know about the delayed rescue or just how much was involved in her recovery, or how much humour and grace Turia shows, despite all of her suffering.
Everyone should read this book at least once in their life.

Turia's story is tragic, severely burnt while participating in an ultra-marathon in the Kimberley's in WA.
However the circumstances this book is about beating the odds, never giving up but most importantly love. The love of family friends but most of all the power of love of Turia's partner Michael who stuck by her side.
Being part of a race committee it's an utter disgrace that the event organises Didnt take a greater duty of care to ensure the safety of their runners.
Turia is no longer the person she once was, but she is strong powerful and an utter inspiration, and this book will make you think and be a better person.
