I have to say I’m getting tired of this series. It’s just dragged on a really long time and the plot devices seem increasingly far fetched. Plus, is this all within one summer? It’s not clear to me, and since it probably is, there never seems to be any growth in the characters. I would love to see what would happen if they decided to let the girls “graduate” and then come back (or not) the next summer, but I’m not sure I’ll continue with the series with the way it’s been going.

It might be because I took such a long break from the series, but this wasn't as entertaining as the previous volumes. It felt a little dashed together, organizationally.

I liked that this re-introduced some things from past Lumberjanes which will hopefully lead to some answers (?) finally! This felt very second-book-in-a-trilogy, more about setting things up for something awesome to come.
