As I was getting into this book, I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out but it sure had me weeping by the end 😭 the characters are beautifully written and each explore the different corners of loss, betrayal, judgement, and love.

Hooked from page one, Hastings writes such engaging characters, and the narrative was so satisfying to read navigating this family drama filled with secrets, trauma and judgement, and the beginnings of a new relationship.
I had a great time reading this.

There are no words. I loved this! 6 ⭐️ read for me!

The complexity of the characters. Their story 😱 although I do still have questions about that little plot of land tho!

This is my first Jessa Hastings book, but I’m heading into the Magnolia Parks universe asap. Can not wait!

Georgia is basically Daisy 2.0, but with way more trauma. Definitely check the trigger warnings bc it was a lot heavier than I expected.

I STRONGLY ADVISE LOOKING UP THE CWs AND TWs BEFORE READING THIS!!!!

I'm not sure if I finished this book or it finished me. Where do I even begin? This was another Jessa Hastings masterpiece.
This somehow felt completely different from the MPU while simultaneously having the same Jessa Hastings feel. Her writing style and way with words just immediately capture your attention and draws you into her world. I was invested from the first page on.
I am not always a fan of insta-love, but with Georgia and Sam, this just worked from the first second on. The way Jessa describes their instant connection and chemistry makes it somehow believable, and I found myself instantly rooting for them. Also, I have to say that they had a really healthy and open way of communicating with each other, which I found very refreshing and was maybe part of the reason why these two work so well together. I really felt every single emotion Georgia was experiencing, and even though there were many heavy topics mentioned, I always wanted to know what happened next (tbf with some small breaks to take a breather for my mental health).

All in all, I really enjoyed this book and Georgia & Sam's story, and do recommend it to those who don't feel triggered by the content.

P.S.: I know this happens post DH4 (WTF) but I now need DH3 asap because I have to know what happens!!!!
