Wow. So first off I was pretty interested in the story. It felt very reminiscent of the Fae fantasy world vibe with contemporary mix and reverse harem. It moved pretty quickly and I wasn’t super happy with the writing; however, I did finish the book and it ended on a cliffhanger !!!

Really enjoyed the main character but there could be a lot more complexity. It’s definitely not high fantasy and feels more like a short adult series. However I would recommend for fantasy smut lovers ! 3/5 stars and reading the next one soon…

This was insanely good. Everything. The world building, character development and relationship development. Everything felt organic. Can’t wait for the next one!

Good effort and a cool world build. Not the smoothest story but I appreciated the three distinct MCs and the strength of the FMC. Some the drama and plot points were too contrived or unrealistic.

What in the Fae?!

Ok so if you love Fae reads then RUN, don't walk, RUN to grab this book. It is an amazing start to a new Fae series by 2 amazing authors. They've built a story, a world that's intriguing and full of characters that wow! Just wow. I love Arawyn, who is no pushover despite her lonely existence and the guys are all swoon worthy. Rathe, the suspicious, hot prince; Viper, the sweet and crazy assasin; and Fear, the large, growly protector. I want them all! Honestly great book though so go get it.

Another KU reverse harem. Semi interesting fae-human world setup, but doesn't really execute in the way I wanted. I read this one and the second one but won't finish the series.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It was sooo flipping good! Seriously, I want to shout to the world to read this because it's just such a stellar, well-written story! The world-building and character development are outstanding - I literally could not put this book down. It's def in the top 5 books of 2021 for me.

We start the story with Arawyn accidentally losing control of her mysterious power. She has no idea why she has magic/power, but she does know it's brought a huge amount of trouble and trauma into her life. People are drawn to her to the point of her self-destruction. Regardless of her hermit life, she's doing her best to live and make weapons, hone her fighting/self-defence skills and be a complete and total BA.

The guys are fae who are in the human realm trying to find a food source for the king. I'll leave it at that because the setup and slow reveals are a part of how amazing this story is. We get a hint at the background of each of the guys, but we'll learn more as the series goes on.

The FMC!
Arawyn's lived such a hard and tragic life, but she hasn't allowed it to make her too bitter or jaded. She does what she needs to do to survive but she still has a heart and a conscience. Her dual nature of wanting company but knowing she can't trust people because of her powers is a great plot device.

The Guys!
Rathe, Viper, and Fear - god yes! I want these three dishy Fae men in my life. Right now Viper and Fear are at the head of the pack because I can't help but not love the psycho and marshmallow. Rathe is a mystery that I cannot wait to unwrap!

The Smut!
This is a slow burn, but oh baby are they building it up to explode - I hope in the next book!

So my rating is low but this wasn’t a bad book per se. I love the world and cannot wait to find out more and I immediately fell in love with the characters and their stories. But nothing happened in this book and it had a lot of time skips which normally is done to get you closer to the action and the story but here they just skipped forward for the same thing to happen over and over. And then of course it ended with a cliffhanger. I’m going to continue the series because I’m invested but I’m hoping some real plot happens in the next one.
