That ending got me GOOD - holy shit, I didn’t see that plot twist in the slightest 😳

I don’t even know what to make of this, it was actually a good time read.

I really enjoyed we had a smart FMC - Callie - and she actually used her brain knowing she couldn’t physically overpower the fae.
Mendax was such a good contrast, and as much as it was a short book it didn’t feel too insta love-y. The plot as well kept developing well and consistently moving forwards

This story has its issues and yet I couldn't put it down 🤷‍♀️

Another fae sex book… the one where the animals talk.

I would've been happier with a summary of this book than reading (or listening in my case) the overly wordy dialogue in this book. The motivations of the characters were shoddy (I suspect to make the twist at the end hit bigger). The MMC's POV didn't add anything to the story, except that he is unexplainably obsessed with the FMC. The sex scenes felt so oddly placed. I feel like there was a lot of potential here, but it needed some better editing.

It is a good book. I don't think it lives up to its hype, though. It was a bit repetitive at times, and certain plot points didn't really fit. But over all, I ate it up and did really enjoy it. Enough so, I pre ordered the second one.
