I love the FMC and her intelligence and her job. The plot twist and all the unanswered questions made me immediately pick up the second book!

Okay, not bad. I bet if I read this a year ago I might feel stronger about it. Unfortunately today it feels a little generic, like I e heard bits and pieces of this before. I did like the ending but the journey was long and wasn’t riveting.

This book got me out of my fae fantasy slump. I’ve read the entire SJM universe and haven’t been able to find a book or series that fulfilled me until this one. This book is like ACOTAR meets the children’s movie Epic and comes together to give you this great read. The magic and politics of this story kept me interested the whole time. The ending left my jaw on the floor. Book two needs to be released NOW.
OMG this was possibly my favourite read of 2023 and I’ve read some bangers! This really did contain everything! I can’t recommend this enough! And I can’t say too much without fear of spoilers! If you like fantasy and dark romance…. Just pick it up… you won’t regret it!
