I remember feeling strong feelings after finishing the first time, but couldn’t remember if they were good ones or bad ones. The next books had interesting looking covers so I tried rereading to remind myself what happened, and I remembered that I was pretty grossed out by some of the stuff that happened, and being really frustrated at the end. Still don’t remember why, but I don’t care to find out.
I was going to push through this book seeing as I made it over 200 pages. Unfortunately the main character keeps talking about how smart and pretty she is and put on a slutty dress (she doesn’t even know why she has it 🙄) to go drive a tractor into the forest in the middle of the night. Still don’t know how that’s even possible IN THE DEEP WOODS.
Amazing concept, the writing is great and the setting and plot are intriguing. But it desperately needs a different set of characters.

This book was so weird. The contrast of worlds, her life before -- just tough to follow and be hooked. Felt very ACOTAR on drugs, just odd. I wasn't a fan of the FMC at all.
I was curious enough to finish reading once I got 1/3 of the way through. That ending though! Deserve all 4 stars with an ending like that!
