This one is probably my favorite in the series. However, if I had to complain (always) something that drives me kind of nuts is the fucking recapping in these books. Like I’m on the 4th book and she’s still recapping what “spirit” is. Like girl? If we are reading the fourth book wouldn’t we know? If we don’t get it by now then we just aren’t going to!! idk it’s a such a minor thing but going onto the fifth and she’s recapping again like how Strigoi are created…..I’m like……we. KNOW! We know girl. It’s ok. Shhhhhh

A good continuation of the series. The fourth volume consists of a solo journey by Rose to Siberia with occasional glimpses into Lissa's life. Rose experiences a lot and this book also ends with a few plottwists. It reads very quickly, even if I didn't like Rose at times and couldn't quite understand her behaviour. In any case, at the end you are curious to see how the story continues.

This series has become my absolute guilty pleasure!
The main character starts out incredibly annoying, but never without explanation.
This volume is sad and challenging, but i like rose's solo trip which furthers her character development.
It's hard to put the book down when one interesting event chases the next.
This teenage drama has become more than that and i've come to love it with all it's flaws.

I legitimately started crying whilst reading this book.
So. Many. Times. It was so full of emotion and longing, but also stayed true to the characters I love.
