I've been on a VA binge this week. I just finished Blood Promise and was impressed! I loved how we were able to follow along with Rose as well as what was going on with the other characters as well. It was pretty cool getting to see how Dimitri's family lived and how warmly they embraced Rose. I think that it was important in developing a better understanding of the complexities of wanting to kill Dimitri. I think Richelle Mead did a great job of portraying the internal conflicts that we knew Rose would feel after finding him. I don't blame her either! After witnessing him (kinda) dying then being treated as his widow by his family.. I'm sure that would tear the strongest person apart. I kind of had a feeling that Dimitri wasn't dead either. She should have stayed and watched.. but hey, that's why there are two more books!

I'll admit, this book made me like Lissa more. I wasn't a very big fan of her at all until this book. I think that she really didn't understand how she was treating her best friend. I think she honestly cares about her friendship with Rose.. I'm glad that Mead was able to show us this relationship. I've always felt like it was one sided.

And now on to Adrian. Oh Adrian..*sigh* I am such a big fan of this character. I always grow really attached to characters in books and he is definitely not an exception. When I was reading scenes that showed that he was falling for Avery I was actually upset and a little jealous. I know he cares so much about Rose and I'm glad she is going to give him a chance. Hell, if she doesn't want him, I'll take him!

Книгата е много подобна на останалите от поредицата.. Дълга предистория и в последните стотина страници всъщност се развива действието. Колебаех се каква оценка да дам, но заради повечето аспекти, въпреки че бяха прекалено описателни и излишно дълги, сметнах че заслужава 4 звездички. Имаше неочаквани обрати и наистина ми хареса в началото.

"Целуната от сянката" за сега ми остава фаворит от прочетените до момента. Не съм сигурна какво следва и това е причината да продължа нататък с поредицата. Ришел Мийд знае как да накара хората да й купуват книгите :D.

Започвам да симпатизирам на Ейдриън. Роуз ме изнервяше на моменти. Не разбрах значението на алхимиците и с какво бяха толкова необходими за сюжета. Намерих името си в една от героините, дори да нямаше съществена роля, което ми се случва за пръв път.

Като цяло трансконтиненталното пътуване на Роуз беше освежаващо за историята и ми се стори много подходящо, което се отрази и на оценката.

Надявам се "Духовна връзка" да си заслужава! :)
